I purchased a Savage for my wife last year new and she put on 2500 miles on it. We run highway all of the time and run 60-65 without any trouble. It is an excellent bike in my eyes in that it is balanced good and is light weight. I ride a Nomad 1500 and am really impressed with this little "popper". It has get up and go and good looks too. I think that you would be very happy with this bike.
